About

CV

Celeste Voce (b. 1987, Long Beach, CA, United States)

she/her/hers. Lives and works in Los Angeles.

Voce works in photography and photo-based media. She uses an analog process to consider the implications of a photograph as a record, a truth, a shadow, and as proof of life. A rose dies, a hand gestures, a mirror distorts, water flows. Every photograph and photogram beg the question: Where is the lie? It’s everywhere and nowhere.
